In May of 2007, Sony Pictures Imageworks announced the opening of a satellite facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico that could take advantage of tax incentives offered by the state government.

Once in motion, employees of all tenure, and from many parts of the world, began moving to Albuquerque. Most knew absolutely nothing about the area. This is the story of the first forty employees who took the leap, and how they have come to experience the city of Albuquerque, and New Mexico.

Premiere Night

    Arrived here via a City Data forum and my wife and I stopped everything to watch it fullscreen from start to finish. I grew up here, but spent quite a few years out east, she grew up out east and ended up out here for an internship. We were both shouting out landmarks and places. Great production and I loved the vibe of all the personalities, although I think a lot of that had to do with their line of work. I wouldn't think boring people would last in their field. Anyway, great piece....thanks!
